This was our 10th cruise and we love cruising. We drove to New Orleans on Friday and enjoyed a full day of eating and drinking in one of our favorite cities on Saturday. On Sunday we left our hotel around 11:30 and found the boarding process to be quick and easy. We immediately went to the Windows to eat lunch. After lunch, we toured the ship until the time that our cabin was ready (around 2:00). We were welcomed by the staff everywhere we went. In fact, we found the entire staff to be friendly and helpful the entire cruise. Many of them learned our names and would greet us by name whenever they saw us.

Cabin: Since we spend a minimal amount of time in our cabin, we do not worry about the location, etc. We were on deck 5, aft, and we like this location. It is always quiet. Our cabin was adequate with all the things that we needed. Our stewards were attentive and friendly. Our cabin was always clean and supplied with fresh towels. Our stewards greeted us by name also.

Food: We ate in the Raffles for breakfast, Windows and Garden Room for dinner, and snacked at the Blue Lagoon. We also paid extra to eat at LeBistro and the Asian restaurant which we found to be well worth the price. We thought that the food was good and really enjoyed the late night french fries in the Blue Lagoon. Our only disappointment was in the desserts. As we rarely have dessert, we always splurge on cruises and eat them every night. The desserts were not "spectacular"-just so-so. We also did the Sake and Sushi one day and it was interesting and informative. A fellow cruiser said that they did this before and were given all the sushi they wanted-that is not so now as we were limited to the amount we were given. There were 6 in our party and we ate late in the dining rooms and never had to wait.

Cabin OC

Small but adequate. Needs more lighting as it was a little dark in the room and the bathroom. Bring hangers especially ones for pants. Quiet-we always like this location as we find it quiet. Plenty of room under bed for suitcases. Could use a little more drawers/shelves but not sure where they could put it.
