The Liberty of the Seas is a beautiful ship, I look forward to cruising on her again real soon. I didn't have the smooth embarkation that everyone talks about. we stood in a line for about 45 minutes watching others go through with no explanation why. The Staff was not the friendliest we encountered, But you can sort of understand it with all the people they deal with, but that's their job, they should do better. The Jr Suite is not a real Suite but it's a good size stateroom for 2 people, nice size closet and bathroom. ours was on the hump so it had a good view from the balcony to the rear of the ship but forward was blocked. We're not smokers so sometimes we were chased inside by cigar smoke from our neighbor. Yes I know my neighbor has a right to smoke, but when they exercise their rights my right to clean air is being taken away. whats the solution? I don't know, but if i pay for a balcony i should be able to use it whenever I please without having to inhale someone else's smoke.
We saw all the shows, I don't think that they were of Broadway caliber but they were good entertainment. my favorites were the magic show , the ice show and the comedian. i like the fact that there was always something to do, no matter how active or inactive you might be.
what I didn't like was how RCCL emphasized shopping. If you weren't going on a paid excursion they assumed that you wanted to shop. It seemed like they steer you toward these jewelry store that are obviously sponsored by the cruise line. I would even to say that they might even own some of them, they do have some of the same jewelry on board. RCCL should consider that some people like to explore without have to pay an arm and a leg, maybe they could provide more information about they ports for those who like venturing out on their own.
