Sail Date: Feb 2010

We sailed Feb 27, first of all the room at the very front of the ship was a noise nightmare, sounded like a "sea witch" outside our room clanging chains all night, every night. The movement of the ship is felt very well in this room so if you are inclined to sea sickness-MOVE! The ship is the biggest we had been on and thought it would be a plus, again no. They increased the number of passenger rooms and did not increase the food service areas, so there was a 45 minute wait to get a hamburger! The meals in the dining room were just ok...not the fabulous ones we have had in the past. And now for the worst part of the trip...we booked an excursion in St. Maarten, supposed the have been new Jeeps..after over a mile run down the pier (and I am not kidding) full run...we got in a "bus" which did not make it up a hill the first time, we rolled down and did it again..we were taken to these little open air Suzukis to drive through St. Maarten. Wear sunscreen if you are there on a sunny day, because you will be toasting in the sun for at least 3 hours. The traffic is horrible, all you see is ghetto, nothing pretty until you reach Orient Beach, and we were only allowed 45 minutes there................tour guide was BJ she was pushy, yelling to keep up, I was burnt to a crisp and was not happy with this at all. I dont know how Carnival managed changing our excursion without telling us but I intend to find out. My advice to anyone would be to take a boat tour or snorkeling excursion as traffic in St, Maarten is awful and you will be stuck for hours.

Cabin Review

Cabin fwd

The noisiest cabin you could ever have! And if you get seasickness, this is not the room for you.
