A family member and I decided about six weeks ago to go on a cruise for my 30th birthday. We booked a 3-day cruise to the Bahamas through Norwegian.

We flew down the day before and stayed in Miami overnight, just in case there were any delays. On the morning of embarkataion, we took a taxi to the pier at around 11:30. Check-in was a breeze, and there was almost no line. The congestion was between check-in and the ship. Overall, it took about 30 minutes to get onto the ship, stopping in the middle for a photograph. Once we got on the ship, we were told our room would be ready by 2:00. So after making reservations for Cagneys Steakhouse, we went to the buffet for lunch. It was crowded as expected, but the weather was nice enough for people to eat outside also.

We went to our room at 2:00, and neither of our room keys worked. We went to the reception desk and exchanged them for new keys. The room size was plenty for the two of us. We had two twin beds separated by shelves. It also had a small couch, table, desk, and a closet with drawers. The bathroom wasn't bad either - round shower and a vanity with plenty of shelving for toiletries. We were pleased with the space. It is obvious that this is an older ship, as there are things that probably could use some updating.
