Background Information

It has been a while since I traveled on RCL, nearly 4 years. Last May I spent 11 wonderful nights on Celebrity Solstice (in a large balcony stateroom) and in December I spent 7 nights on NCL's Pride of America (in a Penthouse Suite).

This short 4 night trip was in a Royal Family Suite on Navigator. The room itself was wonderful. 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a dining table, couch and char as well as three (count them, 3) desks. One in each bedroom and one in the living room. There was plenty of space to relax, watch television and no fighting over the shower!

The room itself was wonderful. 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a dining table, couch and char as well as three (count them, 3) desks. One in each bedroom and one in the living room. There was plenty of space to relax, watch television and no fighting over the shower!

The centerpiece of the room however, was the 200+ sqft. Balcony facing aft. 4 lounge chairs, plus a dining table and chairs….it was a lovely, quiet place to spend time. Beware, the balcony has a great view of the ocean AND ALL THE OTHER REAR FACING BALCONIES.
