I recently experienced my 12th cruise with Princess, this time on the Emerald Princess. I have cruised many times (in addition to Princess) and suffice it to say I love cruising. I get onboard, unpack and I am pampered for however long I am onboard.

I live in Florida so we (my sister and I this time) drove to the port. We used Park n'Go and the whole process was wonderful. We were dropped at the port at about 1:15pm, checked in and were on the ship within about 30 minutes. We skipped the photo ops getting on as we've "been there, done that"!

Our cabin was outside, classified obstructed view, but we were quite happy with it (we could see the ocean and knew what the weather was). I've had balcony cabins and prefer them when traveling with DH, but outside is OK if the price differential makes it worthwhile.
