Stayed in Hyatt Place Ft. Lauderdale airport south prior and post cruise-got a great deal on Hotwire. Unfortunately, shuttle only went to Port Everglades. Obtained a personal ride to port at noon day of cruise-was amazed at how quickly we were boarded on the ship. Nice surprise!

Another nice surprise was the staff---they were all happy and content, unlike some previous cruises. All were helpful and did their jobs well. It was a real pleasure sailing on the Jewel with the current staff.

We had a mini suite balcony--we obtained an excellent price--the only difference between a balcony and the mini-suite is the bathtub. I'd pass on the mini-suite if there is a significant difference in pricing...lets face it how many baths will one take on a cruise? Read more
