Family of 4- parents age 37 kids: boy age 7 and girl age 4. 3rd cruise for parents, first for the kids. Previous cruises on Carnival (several years ago). It was a blast for all of us. The ship is great, food was pretty good (we didn't make it to Portofino's or Chops, but heard Portofino's had excellent meals). We did the My time dining which is a good choice when traveling with kids. We usually went to dinner at around 6:30 but it was nice to have the option to go later when we wanted to. The only thing we didn't like about dinner was the way they served the wine or alcoholic drinks- If you ordered wine with dinner they immediately asked for your shipsail/credit card and ran it through, placing a bill in front of you at the beginning of your meal. They should just serve you and take care of that at the end of the meal. Also, some of the people felt it was appropriate to wear jeans, shorts, t-shirts etc... to dinner. C'mon, at least put on a colared golf shirt and a pair of khacki's. Plenty to do on board for all, kids enjoyed the pools/waterslide/mini golf/ping pong and adventure ocean activities. With 5 island stops in 6 days we didn't spend a ton of time on the ship. We got off at each port by 9 everyday, explored the island and generally got back on at 3. This was great because the pools/public areas weren't that crowded late afternoon. Adventure ocean activity area is great, our kids went there for a little while on a few nights after dinner and one night had dinner at the cafe with the staff and other kids (so we could have an adult dinner experience). Your kids can use the adventure ocean area free of charge until 10 PM, then it's 10 bucks an hour (2 kids) after 10 PM. We didn't have them there past 10 at all but did take advantage of the stateroom babysitting option (booked through the guest relations desk). Basically a girl who works on the ship makes some extra cash babysitting, we did this twice, the girl was nice, kids had no problem warming up to her. It costs 12 per hour for this service for 2 kids. The ports were great- Tortola- We went to a great beach, Cane garden Bay- great views of the island on the way, great swimming there. St Maarten- Golden Eagle catamaran- 1 hour sail to a gorgeous small island, snorkel, swim in from the boat to the beach, cold beers waiting at the shore. very scenic area. Antigua- Black Swan Pirate ship excursion- another sail to a great beach, great swimming. We signed up for this for the kids- they got their faces painted like pirates, joked around with the pirate dressed crew, etc... We didn't realize this was a booze cruise- many more adults on board than kids, lots of them hammered by the end of it. No big deal, it was somewhat funny to watch my 7 yr old in a limbo contests with a bunch of drunks. St Lucia- Sucks. Dirty capital city of castries when you get off the ship. We just wanted to find a good beach, directed to the guys in blue shirts, who lead us down an alley to a waiting area and then picked us up in a 88 nissan sentra with no AC for the 30 minute drive through traffic to what seemed to be a beautiful area just past the Sandals resort- it was an OK beach but not a relaxing experience as the beach vendors were relentless trying to sell you crap. Not a great time constantly watching my kids and stuff hoping no one walked off with anyone or anything. I would not recommend this port (I'm sure there are others who went elsewhere and had a better experience, but we did not). Grenada- Our favorite stop- Grand Anse Beach- 10-15 min Water taxi ride to one of the best beaches we've been to. Nice people, plenty of water toys, chairs, umbrellas, a little shopping area with restaurants right behind the beach. Perfect way to spend the last day at port.

Lat day was day at sea, crowded in the public areas as expected. Easy transition off the boat, grabbed a San juan tour Saturday as our flight did not leave until 4 PM. Great ship, great itinerary, relaxing fun vacation for the kids and the adults.
