This is the first time we have cruised with Celebrity. Friends of ours recommended this line as it's the only one they use plus, they went on the Solstice's first voyage.. Couldn't wait for us to see the "lawn." The ship is really beautiful. Not overdone .. elegant... and tasteful. The one drawback for us was the number of people.. TOO MANY!! It seemed that while there were about 800 people more on this ship than others we have been on, that there was no additional space for them. The theater and dining rooms are the same size as other ships. But, doesn't matter. We still had a marvelous time. The food was probably the best we have had on any ship. (And, I am writing this on the day that 350 people were sick on one of Celebrity's other ships.. I just can't blame the food!) My husband and I were in the Aqua class room.. it was excellent. Fresh fruit, iced tea, and canapes every day. Thanks to our steward, Robert.. he was the best. Being in Aqua class we were able to dine at the Blu restaurant. It's very pretty and the food there was excellent. We also ate at one of the specialty restaurant's, The Tuscan Grille. I think this is one of the best meals I ever had. Being a wine person, I was intrigued that Celebrity is attempting to create a nice wine program onboard but was disappointed that there was no beverage package for wine as there is for soda or beer. But, we still managed to make our way through the various wine lists on the ship. We wanted to try the machines in the Cellar Masters area but they didn't seem to work when we were there. That's ok.. the wine was expensive. The ports of call were excellent too.. Plenty of time on each of the Islands to do a bit of this and that. Overall, this was another fabulous time at sea..
Our cabin.. great bathroom and amenities.. Enjoyed the extras of aqua class. Was surprised that the rooms didn't seem to be too sound proof.. we could hear a lot of noise and even talking from other rooms.
