I have found all the reviews on here to be so helpful so hopefully someone will get something out of this short review.

I am 45 my partner is 47 we were looking for a weekend away and wanted to go to Fort Lauderdale but since Ireland's inn closed we have not found a place to call home. This cruise lined up with the dates we had in mind and the price was right so we booked it mid January. We had only sailed once previously also on royal and also on Voyager class. So since this is my only point of reference.

We flew down the day before on United and took a cab to south beach. Spent one night at the Blue Moon. Nice place hard to judge a hotel from only one night but I would probably stay there again. Day one left the hotel a little after noon and it took about 10-15 minutes to get to the pier. Only real line was a short one at security. From curb to stateroom maybe 20 minutes. Cabin was clean and our stateroom attendant Olman did a great job during the cruise. The only issue we had was the shower was very hot. Maintenance came and told us it would be hot or cold no in-between they had to replace a regulator or something and this never did get fixed. We had only brought a 21in carryon each so there was no squabbling over hangers or storage space. It was nice to have our bags with us so we could unpack right away. Our table mates at dinner still had not received their bags in time for early seating. Right after unpacking we went to the windjammer which was a little busy but we got a table by the window looking out over Miami (nice). I did not have high expectations for the windjammer and they were not exceeded. We were there most days for breakfast and lunch and I don't think anyone ever offered to refill water, coffee maybe water no. One busy day at lunch there were no clean tables so we sat at a table and piled everything up to be taken away. At some point the waiter came and cleaned a table next to us but still left all the garbage sitting on our table till we were all most through. Mostly what I ate here at lunch were the carved meats (Roast beef, pork, briscut, pork ..if I remember correctly and salad. Salad was disappointing lettuce's were always fresh and tasty but not much to put on them. My other half said he thought the food was not as good as the time on Adventure in 08. I skipped the carbs and there were plenty of them I did have a slice of pizza one day and it was not worth the carbs. Dinner was on deck 4 and we had table 429 it was a nice table for 6. Towards the end of our first dinner we realized that I work for the same company as one of our table mates and new friends Sue and Ernie. I really looked forward to our dinners with them. I would say the food in the MDR was better than last time. The service provided by our waitress Liz was excellent and if we get to take Navigator in Europe we would ask for her. Mostly I think I only had seafood here and my partner had the Indian cuisine or steak. While I thought the food was better than on Adventure he did not. We enjoyed the ice show the first night and I was glad we got to go as we missed it the last time around. Be sure to get there early no tickets required but it does fill up quickly. Day 2 Kinda cloudy and windy spent time working out eating napping. Had dinner at Chops. Food was good service was very good. The 10oz fillet was too much food I did not realize they had a 7oz filet until I overheard the waiter mention it to another table. Filet was cooked just right med rare. I would say I enjoyed chops but my memories of Portofino on Adventure were better. We were going to eat at Portofino on Day 4 but had too much fun with Ernie and Sue in the MDR so we xnld. Day 3 Cozumel Debated till the night before about an excursion. I wanted to go to the ruins but suffer from motion sickness so was not sure about the ferry. In the end I decided to try it and we booked the trip to Tulum on board, otherwise we would have stayed on the ship that day. No problems getting off the ship and the excursion was fun. The guide said it was the first nice day in a long time. The only negative was I found it annoying that they drop you off far from ship forcing you to take a taxi and walk through all the shops. Maybe that's what some people want but I would have preferred to be dropped off at the international pier. It was a nice sunny day with just a few clouds. Day 4 Very windy and pretty cloudy again. Hard to get chairs out of the wind. There was some saving of chairs and I did not see any enforcing of the rules. Dinner for the last night in the MDR was excellent and I was wishing for a few more days in the sun.
