There were 7 in our group and all of us related in some way. We ranged in age from 23 to 67. We have all cruised before and had the same complaints about the Norwegian Pearl and the service provided by the crew. There were long wait times for a table in the main dining rooms unless you arrived right when they opened. We waited one evening 20 minutes for a menu. We each attributed this to the fact that this ship has so many optional restaurants that the main ones were made smaller. We each felt on this ship that Norwegian is really just trying to make additional money with all the extras. We began to realize how many times we were asked if we would like a drink in the lounges so one night we counted and within 12 minutes we were asked 13 times. On Princess when you say no thank you a napkin is placed down on the table to indicate you DON"T want a drink. When we questioned a waiter about this he said it is his job and they have to keep asking. Annoying!! The ship has lots to offer and everything is very cramped because of this. We didn't get the spacious feeling we have gotten on other cruise lines. Cabins were small. Very crowded pool area and only 2 pools. Hard to find a chair. We never met our room stewards however our rooms were very well maintained. Our stewards have always introduced themselves to us and have always been visible to us on all previous cruises. Don't know why we never saw him or her. For one excursion my brother and wife waited on the pier in the hot sun for 45 minutes. They finally got everyone water after someone complained. My husband and I waited 20 minutes in the theater for one of our excursions. Some excursions seemed disorganized. Overall we had a fun time on the cruise as we always do. The entertainment was good and the specialty restaurants delicious. Getting on and off the ship was a breeze. However none of us would cruise Norwegian again. Overall we did not get that special feeling we have gotten with other cruise lines.

The room was functional but quite small. Loved the shower door but not the tiny area by the toilet. If I were a few pounds heavier there would be no room to sit down!
