Ship Facts: Sapphire Princess Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Sapphire Princess Deck Plans
birthday cruise
Well here goes, i'll try to describe our vacation as best I can....we were in a mini-suite on the emerald deck....great cabin with a huge balcony....our friends were next door so we were able to open the partition between the two rooms...morning coffee was perfect, juices fine, however a little vodka brought onboard helped greatly.....room steward was nothing special....here's the best info, ask for anytime dining and reserve a table in the santa fe dining room...tip generously to the maitre d' hotel for the best table....make sure you go to the chef's table for a special treat...limited to just 12 persons...reserve early with jean marc ( he's in charge)...sabatini's specialty restaurant was over the top...way too good....best papardelle i've ever had....sterling's steakhouse was just o.k.....they need to work on the caesar salads...just fair....as previously reviewed. the comedian, oscar carlos, was superb...very funny....music shows were not worth going to although the effort was obvious....back to the cabin, sring for the mini-suites if you can, well worth it if you spend any time in the room....don't miss the turkey burgers and hamburgers prepared poolside....we spent our "sun" time upstairs away form the maddening crowds and much less noisy.....horizon court was typical buffet food...some good and then some not so....be sure to visit the gym....very small for such a big ship...my wife and I are seasoned travelers so take my info seriously....if you can't stand the smoke of other people, stay out of the casino....very smokey room....ports were no big deal....get the 24 karat gold margaritas with grand marnier....really good drinks...if you need more info you can always get in touch....bottom line...would I go again...absolutely, but only in a mini-suite....
