Well, this was our first cruise and we brought along the kids; 10&12&14...we chose to sail with the Freedom of the Seas because of it's activites offered. We all tried the flow rider; played basketball and mini-golf and the kids were gone to the kids club on their own which left us to lounge by the pool! (we allowed our 10 yr. old to self check-in and out of the kids club so he felt he had the control of the matter and used the club very well!) The shows on board were just plain SPECTACULAR! Awesome entertainment! and the cruise director, Allan was very good at his job; very entertaining! We found the service of the employees always gave 110%. Kids loved the dining every evening with ADONIS our waiter whom had a peculiar laugh...The boarding on and off the boat always went quite smoothly and quickly. Our ports included LABADEE/OCHO RIOS/COZUMEL - Grand Cayman was a tendered pier and nobody came to get us because of the wind (so they say)We think it's about $$ - why else would the captain announce he'll try to talk them into It (to come and get us, as dangerously windy as we were told?? Why would he want to jepordize our safety?)HHmmm...AND, we heard from another that the last 4 cruises with GCayman on itinary, only once did they get to go! We chose this route because it had the 4 ports...Oh well, we enjoyed ourselves regardless! We had joining balcony rooms, 6300 - 6302 which provided lots of room! Clean, refreshing decor thru-out. FOOD - variety, variety and more variety!!!(and delicious, but be warned..we had late seating, 8pm, so we always had a "snack" @ 6 which = 2 dinners each night! YIKES! To summarize: We will book on the Freedom in same rooms with Allan as cruise director once again, hopefully next year!
