Diamond Members? What does that mean anymore?? We have become so disappointed with the cutbacks and disappearance of amenities...we may be changing lines. We booked a balcony (rm 1004) which was very small. We have booked GS in the past so that is our fault. The hall smelled as mentioned in the boards previously...not sure what that is all about perhaps the cabin is near ?drainage porthole? anyway we needed our AC repaired twice as it stopped working. The entertainment and dining were just average. We did have dinner one night at Portifino which was really nice...a lot like the dining room 'used to' be. The entertainment was good. Singers and Dancers 2x,Meryl Osmond, and a very talented "everything person" and a bad comedian. Embarkation as well as Debarkation was easy. The new muster drill was a dream come true. Our spot was in the theater...no life jackets.!! The dining was hurried, hot, and very noisy.Food was just average.Service a bit below average. I must say the itinerary was Wonderful! We have many wonderful memories of each and every island we stopped at. Nice menu at Seaview Cafe and nice crepes at the solarium. Windjammer average. BUT what was RCCL thinking when they discontinued the concierge lounge for Diamond members? Now we are offerd 25% off a drink and was served stale nuts in a dirty cup at the "diamond lounge event" AND 10 cruises for that ???? Don't bother with loyalty out there passengers...it is certainly not reciprocated any longer. Any thoughts on Pricess? Holland America? or Celebrity? anyone?
