Sail Date: Feb 2010

We went to Galveston a day early and stayed at Harbor House @ Pier21 just so we could see our ship coming in and docking on our departure date. Hotel was Very Nice (part of the Wyndham Chain)Clean, not a large lobby, but who needs a lobby. Pastry breakfast w/coffee and tea in the morning prior to departure. On Thursday morning we went to Lighthouse parking and parked our car about 10am. we had prepaid our parking online and just gave the attendant the resv form, parked in the 1st row, got on a shuttle and was at the port terminal by 10:30. Embarkation On arrival at the port Terminal, we did have to wait a short time in the disembarkation area until they had opened the check in area about 11am. At which time we were the 1st Passengers (They had about 100+ TA's there for a ships tour) but we started boarding about 11:45 and check in went very smoothly(except for the cold rain)but a little slow due to the TA's having to be Checked in ahead of us. We were on Lido by 12:15 eating Lunch and trying to stay dry. Got to our room about 1:15. Departure was delayed a little by the Captain trying to hols as long as possible to allow as many guests to make the sailing as possible, there were a lot of diverted flights, Cancelled flights etc due to the extreme Weather in Texas that day. Finally got under way about 5:45 and the first night at sea was EXTREMLY ROUGH 75mph winds,10ft swells I am not sure how many people were sick the next morning, but were were tossed around all night like a toy in a bathtub..again the EXTREME COLD FRONT that Plagued Texas was in the Gulf as well.

Stateroom We had one of the Balcony Cabins that were added during the Refit in October of 2009. Starboard side aft on Deck 7. The Balcony Cabins on Ecstasy are just Ocean view rooms that had a balcony added, same sq footage inside the cabin.

Entertainment They had a great Line-up every night we were at sea. !st night the Welcome Aboard show, 2nd Night they had the Country Review, and let me tell you the Cruise Director Steve can play a mean Fiddle.. 3rd Night they had the Comedy and Variety Show. 4th night was the Hollywood production type show. OF course every night they had Karaoke and different types of entertainment in other parts of the ship

Cabin Review

Cabin 8-C

Nice Cabin near the Fantail(Farthest point aft)next to the last cabin Starboard Side deck 7. not much traffic, not to far From Serenity deck (adult only area) or the aft dining room, but a long walk for almost all other activities. But will probably rebook that cabin again
