We booked this cruise to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary. We had taken a cruise on RCL for our honeymoon and thought a cruise for our 10 year anniversary was a great way to celebrate our marriage. We chose this cruise because of the number of ports of call along with an expectation that Princess was equal or better than RCL. While we had a very good time, we just thought that our experience with RCL was better. It simply could be the wedding blise that is overshadowing our judgement, but after speaking to a number of people who had similar experences with the two cruise line, we feel that in our heart, we are correct with our assessment.

While the staff was cordial and for the most part nice, they didn't seem to go the extra mile that we had expected. And while the food was good, it certainly wasn't four or five star as we again expected. Nothing had flavor. From the breakfast buffet to the various menues offered for dinner to the desserts, it was pretty presentation but bland.

Our best meal was at a local restuarant in St. Lucia wherein the chef offered us an amazing array of local cuisines. We loved it so much that we asked to speak with him directly so that we could share our compliments directly to him. We think he was both pleased and shocked to hear that we thought his meal was the best one that we had the entire trip.
