The weather in the Baltic was generally good with a few days of rain. The ports were all different but very enjoyable. My wife and I were 'upgraded' to a sleep 4 stateroom with a window. The two drop down beds were a hazard with the other beds in a queen configuration. compared to previous experience with Royal Caribbean and Crystal we found Princess to be lacking. It was a constant nickle here and dime there.

Options like copying digital pictures to a CD were 3 times the cost of Crystal. Things like ice cream (except with meals), soda, and expresso drinks cost extra. Washers and dryers were coin operated yet didn't function very well. The shows were poor and unless you liked Disco you were out of luck with music. Princess really pushes the art, and at the auctions they spent a great deal of time talking about art that there was not interest in. The hard sell was veiled in 'By request' where you put a card on art you were interested in. When no one bids time after time you have to wonder.

We were with a group of 6 and were luck enough to find good servers in the dining room. We elected personal choice dining and after feeling things out made reservations at the same table for most of the cruise. Deck 5 seemed to have constant issues with the plumbing that never got resolved. THe ship had a list to port for at least 3 days. We felt more movement than we had on other ships, even though they were smaller in size.
