This was our 10th cruise with Carnival and we were so excited to be Platinum. We had connected rooms (5123/5125) and extended connected balconies. We had to leave one daughter home (but she's 25) and our youngest daughter brought her boyfriend because she was miserable last year without him. The boys slept in one room and the girls slept in another.

Tampa was freezing which made it okay that we were stranded in Maryland for three hours. We met some "Cruise Critic" members there that I had been talking to. My husband heard them talking and I asked them....and we all kind of hung out together waiting for our plane. It is a small world. We should have been on the ship by 11:45 but didn't get on until 3:00. We did have VIP Boarding which was awesome....it would have been really awesome at 11:45 walking past the lines and lines of people. At 3:00 there were only a few lines, but we did get to walk past them.

This was our fifth time on the Legend and the spirit class ships never let us down. We got to our room and had one piece of lost luggage. Our cabin steward looked for hours for us....and finally found it by about 7:30. Luckily it was my husband's luggage; my daughter would have had a heart attack if her's was missing. Our dining choice was correct, but we love eating with other families, so we requested to be moved for the next night. The matrade' was awesome. He moved us and we had a great time the rest of the cruise with our table mates. The food is always wonderful. The waiter (Victor) was hilarious. The shows were good and the Lido food was good too.

Cabin Review

Cabin 8

5123/5125....connecting rooms, with extended connecting balconies. Nice rooms, when the balcony door is bolted open you loose some space on the balcony. Still it was a nice size balcony.
