Returned form a fantastic cruise, once again with princess. I have read various reviews on cc stating that the food was bad, service was poor. Let me tell you this was not the case with my experience. I have been on around 16 cruises, sailing with Princess, Royal Caribbean, P & O and Celebrity. Out of these Princess and Celebrity definitely top the charts. Lets get started.

Embarkation was a breeze, arrived at pier and was on ship within 15 mins (just some advice, log on to princess.com and fill out all your immigration in advance, makes everything so much easier when you arrive, even allows you to reserve your shore excursions in advance), which has always been the case. Ship stunning and looked like new - we could see it was being constantly maintained. My girl friend and I were shown to our cabin on caribe deck ten, it was a great size with more than enough storage space. Once we dropped our luggage off we decided to explore the ship. I had recently sailed on caribbean princess and sapphire princess, however I loved the new ideas on Ruby. The international cafe is a great idea especially for breakfast and lunch. Also thought the idea of moving sabatine's to the back of the ship on the sun deck was great, stunning views, great location, and rite next to a quiet cocktail bar. Due to trying anytime dining on previous cruises, we opted for traditional dining at 8.30 which worked out well for us. I believe that the service is far better when taking traditional dining as you get to know your waiters, and everything also seems to be more well organised. Went to crown grill, was good but Italian was far better. Horizon court was always busy, they need more seating there, but we did always manage to find a seat. Selection was good. Ports of call were great. St thomas remains my favourite island (fab beaches, great views and incredible snorkeling), followed by Domonica and Aruba. Make sure you book tours early, some people on our cruise hadn't and were complaining there wasn't any left (obviously meaning the ones they wanted to do).

Overall all the cruise was excellent, great value for money and great food/service throughout. I don't think anyone can ever say that a cruise with Princess is not a great value for money...

Cabin Review

Great location next to the lift, very quiet and at a central point for plaza/entertainment
