My husband is in his 50's and I'm in my 40's. We wanted a getaway without kids and thought that would be the case sailing in January, but that wasn't so. We were surprised at how many kids were on board & it was noticeable they were there. This really isn't a bad thing, it was just surprising.

Entertainment: The ice show is fantastic and a must see. In fact, I think it was one of the best shows we saw on the ship. We went 30 minutes before the first show started, and got wonderful seats. As for the other entertainment, we loved everything except the shows performed by the Royal Caribbean singers & dancers. The performers were fantastic for what they had to work with, but I thought the choreography & costumes were somewhat lacking.

Stateroom: We booked a balcony cabin on the "bump" on deck 8 and would book the same room again & again. The room seemed fairly large and was extremely comfortable for 2 people. Our cabin steward was fantastic! Our room was always in top notch condition & her personality was wonderful. Very friendly, welcoming, and she always remembered our names. The best things about the stateroom was plenty of storage space & a shower door instead of a curtain. LOVED IT! I do however have 2 complaints. First, the closet. We got spoiled having a fantastic closet that was very large & roomy on an inside stateroom on the Sapphire Princess. Nothing has measured up since. Second, the water pressure in the bathroom sink. Rinsing my face was an exercise in patience.

Great location! We were very close to the elevator, had no cabins across from us and heard no exterior noise. It was heavenly!
