Hello there, my girl friend and I sailed on the 1/24/10 version of this cruise. We arrived at the ship and entered our cabin 15 minutes later. We arrived at 3 and encountered little if no hassle. Disembarking was just as easy, as we walked off on our own with our luggage. They got that right and i give them an A. The room showed some wear, stained couch, stained carpets, old TV, and the balcony was dirty with the railings outside not seeing varnish in some time. room layout is not as good as Princess ships. This felt cramped for storage space. They do have better showers then Princess. They also changed all of the bedding in the ship, to marble slabs. That's right, the hardest bed i never slept in! I give the cabin a C-. Our cabin steward was terrific. We hardly saw him, and he was thorough. A+ The ship spaces were fine and new looking. The promenade was fun and busy, the theater was nice, the dining rooms were pretty, large, noisy spaces. The ship itself is nice and attractive and easy to get around. The Windjamer cafe, buffet, was mediocre. It was the same food every day and night, and the food was just ok. Service there was poor. Many workers would hang and chat together while tables remained dirty. I give the jamer a C.The food in the main dining room was mediocre, although we ran into no lines and the wait staff was always nice and fast. We were anytime dining guests. I give the food a C. and the service a B.Entertainment: The production shows were OK. C+. The other entertainers were just ok also, i give it a C.The best show was the last day of the cruise where they held a karaoke contest that was going on the whole cruise. These people could sing! Over all the cruise is what is now to be expected on any of the cruise lines. They are cost cutting everywhere, and the biggest thing affected is the food. It aint what it used to be, so don't go in with high expectations and youll be ok. The ports were fine and we used the ships excursions for mostly snorkeling. The excursions were good and i give them a B. For new cruisers this would be a blast! For veteran cruisers, you will notice the cost cutting that is going on all over the cruise industry, affecting mostly the food. Total grade is a C+ Good luck and happy sailing.
