My husband and I have visited a variety of countries on our 11 previous cruises. We didn't have any idea what to expect on this cruise but were pleasantly surprised. We found the ship and the destination one of our best. Although the ship is not the most opulent, it was clean and the crew were helpful and friendly. The food, in both the formal dining rooms and in the cafeteria, was excellent... better than on other NCL cruises that we have taken. Although we don't normally like to go to the specialty restaurants, we did go to East Meets West and loved it so much that we went back a second time.

All the people that we met on the various islands were extremely friendly and very talkative. We felt safe and welcome everywhere.

We rented cars in Honolulu, on the "Big Island", Maui, and on Kauai. I saw shuttles from Dollar, Thrifty, National, Hertz at all ports, including Honolulu. We took 2 Roberts excursions - Road to Hana and Waimea Canyon/Fern Grotta. Both were full days and well worth the money. Read more
