We sailed on the Century 10 years ago & were interested to see how she was after the "revitalization". We were pleased with what we found. We had booked a "guarantee cabin" at the last minute & were assigned to an inside cabin on deck 6. We were very satisfied with the size, decor & stateroom staff. We drove to Miami & parked at Premier Parking (an indoor parking garage) & were shuttled to the ship. Embarkation was a snap & being greeted with champagne & orange juice was a nice touch. It was a relief to go to the Island Buffet & not face a long line like you do on larger ships. Another nice touch was the place-mats on the trays in the buffet area. We had a table of 8 for dinner & made new friends from several European countries. This made for fascinating dinner conversation! Meals were very good, I only had one meal that was not great & that was a sirloin steak. The waiter offered to replace it of course, but I preferred not to wait for another meal while everyone else was eating. We appreciated having the dessert tray brought to the table so that we could see what we were ordering. We attended the Captain's Club lunch & were very impressed with the lavish spread that was presented. This was so much nicer that the normal get-together that is offered to return guests. We normally prefer longer cruises & found that 5 days was not nearly enough time! We were so impressed with our cruise that we booked another while on board. This next one will be a 14 day on the Constellation. We did fill out a questionnaire, which we have always assumed that no one reads or cares about. Much to our surprise we received a phone call from Celebrity thanking us for filling out the questionnaire & asking if we had any other comments or concerns. That was a first for us after 17 cruises (mostly with Princess)! We are looking forward to our next Celebrity cruise & hope it will be as great as this was!
