I will start by saying that I was very hesitant due to the negative reviews for the ship. When we got to the port and saw the ship I was pleasantly surprised. It was decent size and did not at all resemble the match box toy I had so vividly placed in my mind. With that obstical out of the way I was ready to enjoy my cruise.

Embarkation was a breeze. The only difference from a major line was we had to haul our luggage through most of it instead of checking it at the curb. Once we checked our big bags and proceded to the ship, there was someone waiting there to hold our carry on bags as they walked us to our cabin (nice touch).

The cabin was another pleasant surpise. (major tip...expect the very bottom of the barrel and you will always come out ahead). We were on deck 6 interior with 2 twin beds and 2 pull downs. We had originally booked 1 upper and 1 lower which is their coach room but decided to upgrade. Thank God we did, the bunk bed coach rooms are roughly 85 or so square feet. The interior with 2 twin beds was 140 sq feet and only cost us a $65 upgrade, so worth it! We lost a window but the space was much more appreciated. The thermostat in the room worked great. The only problem was the outlet connection. I bought a converter (220 to 120) that did not work so I couldn't use my hair iron. They do offer a hair dryer and small curling iron but ask as soon as you get on the ship because they run out. Our cabin steward Alvin was very pleasant and kept the room fresh with towels and making the bed etc. Our toilet stopped flushing two different times but the plumber was called and fixed it immediately both times.
