We left Port Canaveral on a beautiful sunny day August 21st. We dropped off our Avis rental car and hopped the shuttle to the port @ 11:30am. It was quick and painless. (other than the fact that the Avis building had not electricity so could not get a final print of my bill due to the hurricane Charley). Was in line for less than 1 hour and went straight to our room @12:15. Room was ready. We had a guarantee room and was assigned Main deck. Our room was exactly what had been noted on the back of the sail and sign page in our documents. We had 3 rooms 2388, 2386 and 2350. Out side of 2350 was a strong sewer smell YUK!!

We were assigned the late 8pm seating in the platinum dining room lower level. We had a table for 9 at the back right by the windows. Our waiter was Carmello and Raher. They were wonderful. Food was same as all of our other Carnival cruises. This is our 4th since 2001. They need to change the menu. We did the Supper club on Monday and that was great. There seemed to always be lounge chairs even by the main pool, maybe not the first row but we could always find 4 together. Room stewart was very good, room always clean and towels replaced. The room stewart my girls had (4 in their room) was outstanding. She keep their very messy room spotless. And never minded when they wanted to sleep in. She told them if it was after 11am to call her and then she would come and do their room. I gave her an extra tip!!! She deserved it.

Port: Nassau A little rainy that day but did not deter us. We did Blue Lagoon beach tour. Nice beach and a great ride over on the ferry. NO time for shopping. Got back with little time to get from Ferry to ship thank God we were on a Carnival tour.
