Staff - so welcoming and courteous. Everyone would always greet you and ask if there was anything they could do for you - from stewards to the officers.
Room - our first time with a verandah and now I'm spoiled (poor hubby). The room was on the small side but more than adequate with plenty of storage. We loved our location because it was close to most everything (room 6048).
Food - excellent! Enjoyed the smoothie bar in the buffet (especially since I caught a cold our second day out, and the smoothies helped me get up in the mornings). We always went to dinner in the main dining room with a sense of anticipation. The beef (steaks, tenderloins, etc.) were always tender and flavorful. For lunch we would pick up snacks in the Cova, and our goal was to try to be hungry for dinner (we usually didn't succeed).
Ports - our favorite was St. Lucia. We had made arrangements through Island Divers for a day of snorkeling at the Ti Kaye resort. Saw lots of fish ... even a moray eel. Try to snorkel before all the other excursions get there - they stir up the sentiment. For lunch, we had the fish cakes (fantastic!) for an appetizer, cheeseburgers and ice cream for dessert. Amazingly good!!
Overall we had a fantastic cruise. One morning we walked into the laundry and a fellow passenger was complaining that she had to pay - on Crystal, it's free! She didn't appreciate my explanation that it's not free - you pay a lot more up front! I feel very fortunate that we sailed on Azamara when we did. We understand the prices are going way up, out of our price range.
