Just returned from a wonderful time on the Ryndam with Holland American. it was fun because Ai was with family and friends. The ship was well appointed. The fellow passengers were 80 and up. But the ports were amazing. I chose this cruise because of the ports.Like many Holland American cruises the food was exceptional. We were not able to get a dinner reservation in the Pinnacle but the food in the main restaurants was amazing.I live in New York and frequent many up scale restaurants in Manhattan.

This was a small ship. The cruise director was excellent but the activities director/DJ was just okay. The Hal/Cats were the pits they were so boring. We are 55 years old and their activities were awful and the shows were just average.

But the ports and the excursions were fabulous so I would travel on Holland American but not on a small ship Even the spa was very small.
