Poesia - Fantastic Jan/10

Sail Date: January 2010
Destination: Eastern Caribbean
Embarkation: Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

We had a great time on the Poesia which was on Jan 23/10 sailing. We had two children with us one went to the play area and had a great time while the other stayed with us at all times (the crew were attentive to her every need). The ship is very clean compared to Carnival (which we have sailed on 3 times and a different ship each time). The food was fantastic! and you could select from the American side of the menu or the Italian side (we chose the Italian) at each dinner seating, the food was hot, flavourful. I will have to say to people writing about the food and did not like it should have looked into the MSC cruise line and noted that they are European and if you have been to Europe this is what was to be expected. MSC will get better catering to the Americans as they sail more in the Caribbean and read the reviews from the onboard forms.

We enjoyed the crew and did not have a difficult time understanding any of them and they understood us, we did not see any crew with More attitudes they were attentive and friendly. The worst part of our trip were the passengers with attitudes and treating the crew as if they were second class. We witnessed a woman yelling for hot chocolate to one of the kitchen staff at the late night pizza area which has nothing to do with hot chocolate our children along with us were quite disturbed that someone could be so rude.

We were on the 12th deck with two small children and found our room to be perfect our son was on the pull out top bunk and the staff would pull out the sofa bed for our other child but she kept sleeping with us and told the staff don't go to extra work, leave the bed in. We were never disturbed by any noise, balcony was perfect with great views and the staff were great with cleaning our room and filling everything back up each day.

We are booking another trip with this ship with friends that have children and other friends that don't and each of us have open minds and will make the vacation what we want it to be. The crew on the Poesia are not there to control the weather, excursions or your bad behaviour. Please keep in mind before yelling at the crew ( and you know who you are) you are embarrassing yourself and ruining your own experience. Less
