Eastern Caribbean Ruby Princess Nov 24-Dec 4, 2009

Nov 23-In Transit.

One of our friends picked us up and took us to our local airport. It is so nice to fly out of an airport ten minutes away where the security check-in lines are relatively short. We had checked in on-line with Air Trans and already had our boarding passes. Our layover to Ft Lauderdale was in Atlanta. There were two Air Trans connecting flights out of Atlanta. We choose the later one. This was a good move. First, we had time to have a decent lunch on the concourse. Lunch for two (split sandwich) at Charlie's cost $10.00. Second, those who chose the earlier flight missed their connection. We did not have to change concourses. I was worried about stowing carryon bags since my camera bag had several thousand dollars of computer and camera equipment. Stowing the stuff turned out to be no problem. I saw only one oversized bag. And I could have put the camera bag under the seat in front of me. This would only work from an aisle seat.

Cabin Review

Typical balcony cabin for Princess. Plenty of room to stow everything we brought on board. Bed was too hard
