Sail Date: Jan 2010

After arriving in Ft Lauderdale, we were informed by a recorded call from Carnival that we would be missing our first port due to propulsion problems with the ship. This has been an ongoing problem with the Destiny and we felt we should have been told that up front, especially since the sailing before ours had to miss ports due to the same issues.

The crew and ship itself were in good shape. We thought the food was above average in the dining room and we enjoyed the anytime dining. We are avid cruisers and are Elite on Princess so our expectations were not high. We just wanted to visit Key West and get some warm sunshine. We got half of what we paid for.

Our balcony room was nice and had plenty of room. It was right below the LIDO pool deck, under the buffet seating area and it was very noisey most of the time. We could hear people walking back and forth and the movement of chairs being moved on the wooden deck floor. The noise seemed to get a little better late at night but still not as quiet as we would have liked it.

Cabin Review

Cabin bal

Nice room with plenty of space to store luggage and move around. Only issue we had was with the noice from the LIDO deck above us.
