Sail Date: Jan 2010

We were 4 hours late leaving the port of Miami on Saturday January 16, 2010. They said they were bringing on potable water. This raised a concern with us, but we were new at this. While at sea, everything was great, the staff, the food, the lodging. We were told on Sunday that the ship had perpulsion issues and that they were working on the problem and we would be advised. The next morning we were advised by the captain that we would NOT be making either of our ports of call. So, we spent another day at sea. Then we were advised by the captain that we would be docking at Nassau, Bahamas on Tuesday at 11:00 am. and staying overnight and leaving on Wednesday at 5:30 am. to go back to Miami. We did not leave Nassau until 7:40 am. We do not know the reason for the delay. Everyone on the ship was extremely mad and upset that we did not get to go where we paid to go. Our group of 5 couples had made arrangements at both ports to go on excersions that never happened. We met numerous people on the ship that were suppose to get married in Jamica and they were extremely upset. We do not know their outcome. We were given $75.00 onboard credit per person as a result of this inconvenience. To all of us, this is NOT ACCEPTABLE. We were advised by various people on the ship that this paticular ship, DESTINY, has not been making most of its ports of call since November, 2009 due to perpulsion issues, which turned out to be our issue.

We really enjoyed cruising as it was our first time doing this, however Carnival should have FIXED THE PROBLEM COMPLETELY AND IMMEDIATELY WHEN THEY GOT BACK TO PORT BEFORE THE SHIP WAS SENT BACK OUT TO SEA. I DO NOT THINK I WILL CRUISE CARNIVAL AGAIN AS FIRST IMPRESSIONS ARE LASTING IMPRESSIONS......

Cabin Review

Our cabin was fine. We had a balcony and it was fine. The bathroom was fine also, with the exception of being somewhat cramped. Closet was fine. No problem with cabin.
