We flew to San Diego the night before our cruise. The next morning we went sightseeing in Old Town San Diego for half the morning and I had a wonderful time to ourselves. (We woke up too early, not use to the time zone). At 1:30pm the hotel shuttle took us to the terminal and we had no problems getting on the boat. Once on the boat we were told our room was ready. Our room was an inside room and it was nice, nothing to complain about. The shower was a nice size. The bathroom even had samples of toothpaste, over the counter meds, and razor. We went to the room to drop a few bags off and then went exploring. I heard lots of rumors that this ship was outdated and that is all false the ship was very nice and updated. Tiffany's was busy but had fast service on the pizza and drinks. Carnival has casual dining at night so many people took advantage of this and wore jeans. The table we were place at was had the best waiters Weiner and Christian and the people on our table were very fun. We knew none of them the first night and by the 3rd night we were all going to shows together and the dances. It was nice that Carnival placed us with couples all the same age range. (Not for sure if this was an accident or they actually assign quest by age range). Second day was fun at sea and participated in the towel folding class and player trivia games. Noja, the Activity director was great. The Senerity area is very ice to relax without kids running a round. Nice place to watch the water and take a nap. It was not busy at all. It was also formal night and most people did dress up. This was the only time that most people did, because the rest of the nights I even got into the mood and wore jeans to the dining room, it was kind of nice not worrying about fancy clothes and shoes. The entertainment was very good. The dancing and singing was excellent, the last night was a hypnotist and it was very funny!!! There was a comedy show which we did not make the first night, but the second night there was a late show for mature people and it was very risque!!! I did not care for that show. Also the last night, there was happy hour in the Mikado lounge while stopped in Ensenada. We thought we would have one free drink but as long as you were there the drinks keep coming. The had several to pick from, no beer but had whiskey sours, fuzzy navels, wine and even a fruity punch for the kids while the band played. Not many people were there so it was a lot of fun. We also played miniature golf that night all to ourselves. Every night we had a towel animal and had no problems with anything in our room. Everything was great!!!!

Cabin Review

Close to the elevators and stairs. Plenty of room for 2. Lots of closet space. Shower was bigger than most cruise boats. Did not like the fact that the big was pushed up against the wall on one side. (Had to climb over the other person it get out).
