Just got off the 5 night Key West/Grand Cayman and decided to submit a review. Let me apologize in advance for the length. This was our 16th cruise and 2nd on Celebrity. We flew into Miami and took a cab to the port. $24 plus tip with no add on for luggage. The embarkation was remarkably simple and we were onboard in about 15 minutes. The only small delay was the completion of a health questionnaire regarding present health, coughs, fevers, etc. and any recent contact with others who may be exhibiting similar symptoms.

The ship was the star. I know this is a 15 year old ship but it is in remarkably good condition and while there was some wear it certainly did not take away from the overall condition and appearance. The pitter patter of 4,000 feet each day has to be rough on any environment. Our room was clean and was maintained in excellent fashion by the steward who provided everything we asked for but was quite invisible at other times. We took a veranda cabin on the 9th deck. We were advised that the 10th deck verandas were partially open to strollers on the pool deck. We noticed the a/c not working when we returned from the show one night. A technician was in the room within 10 minutes and had it up and running. The hallway was a bit warm and humid but I think this had to do with the veranda doors being left open and the outside air was dumped into the hall when the stateroom door is opened.

A word of advice. If your veranda door is open a significant draft will occur upon opening your stateroom door. The stateroom doors locks automatically when closed. Great security feature! However, you are not fast enough to set the room service tray down and catch the door before it shuts. Believe me. You will come to realize this when you are left standing in the hallway in your underwear. (There is a reason robes are provided in Concierge Class) Second, no matter how clear the hall is when you set the tray down someone will come out of the elevator in time to wonder why you are standing in the hall in your underwear. Third, please note that fellow passengers are uncomfortable talking to a man in his underwear. Fourth, Century is a small ship, you will see these people again.
