We cruised on the Sept. 20th 7 night Eastern Caribbean sailing on RCCL Freedom of Seas for our 5th Wedding Anniversary. This was my second cruise. My first cruise was on Disney and this was my Husband's very first cruise. We arrived at Orlando Intl. the evening before we were transported by Cocoa Beach Shuttle from the Airport to our hotel at Port Canaveral- Country Inn and Suites. I would highly recommend Country Inn and Suites. The hotel was very nice and they had a complimentary shuttle that took us to Fishlips (by the water, great food) for dinner and picked us up when we were ready. They also had a shuttle that took us to the cruise terminal the next morning. We arrived at the cruise terminal at about 11:20 and were on board by 12:00. The process was very smooth. However, our rooms were not ready till about 1:00. We had an absolutely AMAZING time. We had a Balcony stateroom on deck 6. I have read lots of concerns on here about smoking and balconies. We are non-smokers and had no issue with smelling cigarette smoke. We also had no problem with neighbors on adjacent balconies. We only saw one neighbor on their balcony twice and did not see the other one at all. Maybe we just got lucky! We mainly did the room service breakfast every morning, we just marked what we wanted on our door hanger, marked the time we wanted it delivered and hung it on our door the night before and it showed up on time to our stateroom each morning. We would sit out on our balcony in our PJ's and enjoy our yummy breakfast by the sea! We would never sail without a balcony stateroom. We did try the Windjammer once for breakfast and once for lunch. The food in the Windjammer is buffet style and was good but the hassle of finding a table was a little too ridiculous for me. We also did lunch in the Main Dining Room once and Breakfast in the MDR once. The food in the MDR for breakfast and lunch was very good. The salad bar for lunch is excellent but the line can sometimes be long. The only negative to breakfast and lunch in the MDR is that you are seated with other passengers. My Husband and I are just the type of people that when it comes to dining we prefer to dine alone in a intimate and personal setting. We are not anti-social we just prefer eating alone. We had second seating for Traditional Dining in the MDR we had requested a table for 2 for dinner our request was granted without any issues. As soon as we arrived on board the ship we went to the MDR to make sure our table for dinner was a table for 2 and it was. The food in the MDR was very good for the most part. There were some dishes that we did not care for but it was not that the food was bad it was just not prepared to our taste. We had wonderful waiters Marco and Maria. They were excellent! We could not have asked for better service from them, it was exceptional!! We ate lunch a lot in Sorrento's Pizza and it was very good! We heard the food at Cafe Promenade was very good as well but we never tried it. We also ate lunch one day at Johnny Rocket's (for the fee of 3.95 ea) the food was very good and was worth the fee. It was nice to have a burger and chili fries! The free ice cream poolside was so yummy! Let's just say we had lots of ice cream. For the night of our anniversary we made reservations at Portofino's (fee of 20.00 ea) we had a table for 2 by the window it was a very romantic setting and the food was good. It was worth it to do something different and romantic to celebrate our 5th anniversary. However, I don't know that it was good enough to where I would eat there again. I think next time we will try Chop's. Freedom of the Seas is a a gorgeous ship and is very elegantly decorated. The ship is in great condition. The service by everyone on the ship was exceptional and we never had a complaint about the service provided to us. We were a little disappointed in the items offered in the RCCL logo shop. There wasn't a large selection at all and I was a little disappointed but still found some nice souvenirs. Don't waste your time going to the t-shirt clearance sale by the pool. What a hassle! It was completely unorganized. I left after 5 minutes. People were pushing each other around and stepping on each other for 5 and 10 dollar t-shirts, it was ridiculous! That sale would have to be the only complaint I had for the entire trip! The shows were GREAT! The ice show is very good. The Love and Marriage game show is not to be missed it was hilarious. There was also Battle of the Sexes and The Quest game show both were very funny. The Quest is like an adult scavenger hunt, very funny! We ordered Anniv. stateroom decorations which were very fun and were on display on our arrival. We also ordered Chocolate Strawberries and Champagne which arrived about 20 mins after we arrived to our stateroom. My Husband also reserved a tux with RCCL on board for both of our formal nights and it was hanging in the closet of our stateroom when we arrived. The tux was very nice and of good quality. Our stateroom was very clean and it was maintained well by our room attendant. FYI, Key Lime Pie Martini in the Champagne bar is to die for!! There was not a lot of kids on our cruise which was really nice. I guess because of the time of year, September. All in all our experience on FOS was wonderful! We will sail with RCCL and on FOS again for sure!

Cococay, Bahamas - Gorgeous Island. The Buffet lunch on the island was very good. We did the Kayak excursion and it was wonderful! I had never Kayaked before but my Husband Kayaks all the time. We had a 2 person Kayak. We saw stingrays, jelly fish, conchs and HUGE Starfish. We got to hold the starfish. It was a great experience and our guide was great! The tenures to the island were well organized and hassle free.

St. Thomas, USVI - We did a 1/2 day Champagne Catamaran Sail to St. John. This excursion was AMAZING and I highly recommend it. We took a shuttle over to the pier to board the catamaran. We sailed out to St. John and snorkeled in the National Park there. We saw lots of reef, fish, sea turtles and stingrays. On the way back they served us light snacks and unlimited alcohol! The crew on board was amazing and we had wonderful time. This was the best excursion on our trip.
