The Century is a great ship. My kind of ship. An understated elegance and well-kept. I was a bit apprehensive because many reviews mentioned her "showing her age," but for a nine year old ship, it showed virtually nothing negative. Rooms were clean (cabin and public). No worn carpets, drapes, bedspreads, etc. The only thing I noted was the poor condition of the handrails on the outside decks. They were repairing them while we were on our cruise.

Embarkation very smooth. We were on about noon, with advice that staterooms weren't considered ready until 1:00pm. We sat by the pool and ate as we sipped our welcome champagne.

The sky suite we had exceeded my expectations. A wonderful, private balcony. I bet one of the largest and most private at sea. Read more
