We went on Celebrity Century last year on an Eastern Caribbean cruise. I was curious to see how the 2 compared.

Carnival had a much better embarkation and disembarkation process. However, the service on the Carnival Destiny was very poor.

The main dining room was the on the verge of being terrible. At times, our table hadn't even placed our order and other tables were being served their main course!! The food wasn't that good in the main dining room. This was a big disappointment to us, because we just loved the food on Celebrity!! The pizza, Chinese food and buffet was really good on the Destiny though. On "Formal" nights, many individuals did not wear the suggested attire. Most everyone changed into shorts once dinner was over. On Celebrity, I remember hearing an announcement that asked if you were in a public area on Formal Night, to please remain in formal dress. I am not into dressing up too much, but I thought it was a rather nice touch and had a blast on those Formal Nights!
