It all started quite nice, with short lines for check-in around 3:30PM (Luckily we had questioned the check-in time on the Cruise Document stating to check-in "NO EARLIER THAN 5:30PM"). Our luggage was waiting for us in front of our room, together with Joseph, our very friendly and helpful cabin attendant who showed us around the cabin. We did not expect much space and were pleasantly surprised by all the storage and closet space in the room.

We had wanted to see the ship depart San Juan, but were told to be at dinner no later than 9PM (When we booked, we were told the first night was "open seating"). Dinner that night was very mediocre at a crowded(assigned)table . We did not touch the bread, because it had been touched already by everyone else, the meat was tough and the fish dry. There were too many utensils on the tables, leaving barely room for anything else. We should have stayed on deck for the ships departure.

Service in general was ok, but the Eastern European service crew was not very service oriented compared to the Asians. The Latin music in "Rendez Vous" was ok, but the musicians lacked the Latin Passion you can find anywhere in Puerto Rico (where 50% of the passengers were from).
