My hubby and I are in our 60's and retired. We took this cruise to celebrate our 42nd wedding anniversary. We had a wonderful time! We found the staff on the Star to be absolutely wonderful! We found that if you are friendly to them, they treat you like royalty. Our stewards kept our room in tip-top shape and were very friendly, always greeting us with a smile. The wait staff in the restaurants were very good at what they do and only a couple of times did we encounter someone that obviously was not enjoying his job. The food was good in the main dining rooms, the Versailles and the Aqua. The service was prompt. We ate at the buffet a few times, but, for the most part, did not enjoy the atmosphere--cafeteria-feel to the Market Cafe and it was noisy. The food was abundant but not all of it was that good. We appreciated the hand sanitizers everywhere--just wish everyone used them. We saw people just walking by. We loved our balcony! We sat out there and read. My hubby enjoyed his first cup of coffee out there almost every morning---glad to see there was a coffee maker in the cabin. We brought along a plastic hanger for shoes, recommended by a member of Cruise Critic, and really made use of that, storing deodorant, sunglasses, my hubby's shaver, etc. in the pockets. That was so useful! We loved the separation of sink, toilet, and shower! We found the bed to be very comfortable and appreciated the small sofa. There was ample closet space, drawers, and shelves. We loved freestyle dining! The one negative was disembarking from the ship--long lines. Perhaps, if people were given a slip with a certain color, that they had to show when they lined up, they would be more accountable. There were definitely people in line that should not have been there, disregarding the time that they were to line up to disembark. We enjoyed the ports but took only one excursion and that was in Cabo--went in a boat to see the Arch. The Panama Canal was something to behold! It was a super, wonderful trip!

Cabin BB

We were at the back of the ship, on the starboard side. We had great neighbors--very quiet and no one smoked--loved that, since we had a balcony. We loved the separation of shower, toilet, and sink! I would have loved a bathtub! We enjoyed the robes--used them every day. The carpet on our balcony looked worn and dirty--definitely should be replaced. The chairs on the balcony looked a little shop-worn, as well. And the door, into our cabin, was pretty scratched on the inside.
