PORT CANAVERAL CRUISE PORT: Since I live in Tampa, getting to the port was a breeze. After paying the $10.00 per day parking fee (pretty standard), me and my two brothers got out of our car and got our stuff. As we walked to the terminal there was an overpowering smell of sewage (get used to hearing the word sewage in this review). Since we had booked the Penthouse Suite we got VIP priority boarding which saved us from waiting on any lines. The terminal staff was nice enough

CARNIVAL SENSATION: After getting through the gauntlet of photographers, we boarded the gangway to the smell of, yes you guessed it, sewage. Being realisitic, knowing the Sensation is an older and small ship in the Carnival fleet, I was not expecting the spacious and grand atriums of ships like the Glory or the Miracle. However, the purple and chrome monstrosity which is the interior of the ship was actually offensive to the eyes. OK, I am on board to party and have a good time, so let's forget about scenery. Usually there is a group of attendants to welcome aboard the passengers and give directions. On the Sensation, what crewmembers I did see were doing their best to stay in the background and talk among themselves. Again, not a big deal for me, but not what you want to see.

STATEROOM U103: Getting the penthouse suite on the Sensation is kind of like renting a Bentley to drive around Newark. The room was nice enough and it was good to have room to walk around. The room was clean and the bathroom clean as well. The flat screen TV and inputs for music devise and portable dvd players was nice for in-room entertainment. So, OK time to walk out on to the balcony and sit down and get to the relaxing. Upon opening the door to the balcony we were greeted to, yes that's right, the smell of sewage. Obviously the ship must be prepping for the voyage and emptying the septic system, so not to worry.
