Let me start by saying that Majesty of the Seas is one of our favorite ships. Unfortunately, this cruise wasn't quite what we have normally come accustomed to. This particular cruise was a gift to my mother (who has never cruised before). She had a wonderful time (it probably helped that she won $200 on the nickel slots) We on the other hand felt that there was something missing. Maybe it was the weather (we missed coco cay because of it)or maybe because the last few times we've been on this ship everything and everyone was perfect(this time we felt ignored at times)Any ways all in all it was a good cruise. Day 0: We stayed Thursday at the Downtown/Port of Miami Holiday Inn. The hotel is in a great location right across the street from the Bayside Market. The rooms, though very clean, did look a little worn in a few areas.(Torn curtain, worn patches on the couch) Day 1: Embarkation went very smoothly and we were on the ship within minutes of arriving at the port. Ate at the Windjammer...the Honey Stung Chicken was fabulous as usual. Showed mom around the ship some then went to Muster Drill. Our muster station was inside at Boleros Lounge (yay! No having to stand in those stupid lines :))Watched as we sped away from Miami then went & got ready for dinner. We chose to change tables because they had us sitting at a very large crowded table of 14. We were moved to a small table by our selves. Too bad we ended up with the most inexperienced wait staff on the whole ship. Tonight's dinner took over 2 hours. Day 2: We were supposed to go to Cococay but because of the rain and wind we weren't able to tender so instead we went straight to Nassau. Because of the rain and the down right frigid temps we spent most of the day wandering the ship and taking a nap or two. Dinner went smoother though and only took an hour and a half. Day 3: Nassau...The temps were in the 60's but there was a cold wind coming from the North so it felt more like 40's. It was funny to see the locals all bundled up in winter coats and scarves. We went to Fort Charlotte which was okay but nothing compared to the forts in Puerto Rico. After the fort we went to the Arawak Cay fish fry area and ate at Twin Brothers Seafood...the Fried Grouper Fingers were amazing and the Shrimp with the shrimp cocktail were huge. After eating we took a cab to Atlantis and because of the weather the let us walk around with out purchasing a tour package. The only thing we couldn't go to was the "Dig" and the hotel guest only areas. Finally, we made it back to the ship. Dinner tonight was quicker and the staff seemed to be happier for some reason.(I just figured it was because this was the last night of having to put up with us)Tonight (Tip Night) we finally met the head waiter. She came by and said something like, "I don't think we've met yet, I just wanted to let you know that I was your head waiter for this cruise" (A little late to make an impression if you ask me) Day 4: Debarkation went very smooth for the most part. Was a little confused by the way they made us all go through the dinning room because we had to weave our way through all the non US passport holders. Seemed like they should've made two separate areas.

All in all it was a good cruise. I wouldn't say it will go in my top 3 but it's not in the bottom 3 either. The bartenders and our room steward were good but the rest of the staff just seemed to ignore everyone around us. The weather sucked but that wasn't the Cruise's fault. I feel we made the most out of the situations put before us and had a decent trip all in all.
