Sail Date: Jan 2010

My husband and I have been on three cruises. Twice with Carnival and once with Norwegian. Our most recent cruise left out of Miami on Jan 2, 2010. We drove to the Port of Miami from North Carolina (cheaper than flying and worked out great with our jobs and the Jan 1 holiday) and parked in a parking garage, easy access, and we were directly across from the ship access area!

Embarkation was the easiest we've experienced. No problems, quick, and we were on the boat before Noon...our luggage arrived later, around 3 or so. We were instantly impressed with the decor and beautiful atrium with glass exposed elevators...wonderful! We walked up to Lido and had a burger and fries only to find out there was a full buffet of exceptional food waiting for us inside Emile's!

After navigating around the ship seeing the different public areas we found our room down on the second floor. We had four people in our cabin, my husband and I and our son and daughter-in-law. We were amazed at the large size of the room (compared to previous cruise experiences). We had plenty of room and storage spaces and we could walk around the queen bed. A sofa converted to one single bed and another bed dropped down. The bathroom was really nice and we had a couple sample freebies of toothpaste and Pepcid!

Cabin Review

Our cabin was on the second floor, ocean view, and fit four adults and their luggage very comfortably! The cabin was exceptional. Only when we laid our head on the pillow could we just barely hear the motor/engine a little but it helped us to sleep! We had shampoo and body wash in our bathroom, a hair dryer in the vanity drawer in the room, seven shelves in the bathroom (mounted on each side of the mirror) for our personal hygiene items, the drop down bed and sofa bed each had their own reading light...super, tons of closet space (more than we needed), we even had a small, oval coffee table that was height adjustable! It was a super great room, we enjoyed it and was close to two sets of elevators...but had no problem with hall or elevator noise.
