Hated to wake from my Dream

Sail Date: January 2010
Destination: Eastern Caribbean
Embarkation: Port Canaveral

Just back today from a dream cruise.

Dates 1/2/10 - 1/9/10

About me. Middle class, overweight, overeducated (MA) looking for relaxation with the wife and snorkeling and diving activities and good drinks and comedy shows.

Cabin- Inside seventh flr cabin 7241

Embark: Arrived early got zone three waited 90 minutes. If you need to charge device outlets are in brass covers located on the floor in front of platinum member check in office Boarded easily straight to 10th flr for Mongolian grill (6 out 10)

Restaurants: pasta bar good great rolls avg Caesar salad watery sauces (6 out 10), burrito bar excellent great flavors(9 out 10), dessert bar pretty good (7 out 10) sandwich shop rear of ship (6 out 10) nightly dining in Scarlett upper room table 616 great service, great meals (9 out 10) poor bar service Indian restaurant and sushi smelled and looked great just never got there hated to miss nightly dinner as it was an opportunity to check in More with our group of friends

Room: Tiny just small, friends room with outside balcony would have been much better (I'm 6'1" 320 pounds) very nice clean great water pressure in shower good tv 22" flat screen no available ports for viewing video camera footage or portable dvd player etc.. other than the Denver only local news. Room Service great and we were slobs' cleaning was very timely so it was almost seamless. Ship: bright bold layout not as bad as others make it out to be (8.5 out 10). Trick to being on a large full ship time shifting. Loved hot tubs but not extremely hot pool looked nice never swam. Big screen tv on pool deck kick butt music good really liked adult only areas and the hammock. Casio is a casino. Library was cool with check out games and tables for play. art auction, neat! lots of pop and kitchy stuff anime Disney, Looney Tunes didn't stick around for the free champagne. Like air hockey tables in game room 1.50 a game as well as the Rambo game fun fun fun lol

Activities: Seen the juggler show fun time (7 out 10) last show variety (9 out 10) great time Morning show on tv annoying at best just avoid it and read the daily caper. Comedians were a ball but the burgundy lounge is too small got to get there early! Shopping ok nothing great liked the little clubs to the rear of the casino.

Debarkation: Simple carried stuff off the ship waited 45 minutes at 6:00 am customs was a breeze on the road by 7:15.

The Bad: room to small, crappy television channels yeah I know it's pathetic but when your exhausted it's nice to watch the news or movies. Refrigerator to small and full of their crap. Robes too small lol don't wear new sandals for the first time in port blister suck! Too many things to do, kids are hidden nicely elevator waits lines weren't that bad just use common sense Spa workshops on losing weight or how to flatten your belly really people come on I seen the gym it was freaky fitness nuts all 12 of them. Lastly having to watch for restaurant opening/closing fold a caper and put it in your pocket. Less
