So this was our first time one HAL, and i was impressed with how easy embarkation was. we got there checked in and unbelievably we were the first ones on the ship, the room was not ready but we expected this, so off we went to the Lido for lunch. I have to say it was quite impressive all laid out in its finery, it never looked as good again. The food was tasty and we set out about to explore the ship. First stop was the Sea View bar, where we had a nice frosty beverage. Then off to the rest of the decks to get the lay of the land so to speak. For some reason the lower decks from the Promenade deck on down the hallways smells of rotting garbage or sewer, We thought that perhaps they were smells coming from the port. but the smells stayed on the lower decks for the duration of the cruise.

Sail away was great and off we went to sunny Mexico, alas the cool weather followed us on our voyage, but hey we are on vacation so put on a sweater and call it good.

Sunday was a full day at sea. Yeah, lets find something to do on this ship. humm wait, usually we have to decide from many different activities ongoing at the same time, but on this cruise unless I really wanted to learn photo shop there was really nothing going on. Oh no, well, guess we can lounge by the pool or catch a movie. The popcorn was great by the way. We were really looking forward to Monday cruising the Bahia Magdelena for whale watching, but the Captain had informed us that some passengers were critically ill and we had to jam boogie to Cabo to get the people off.
