We were excited to take our first cruise. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed on this cruise. We picked this cruise because we wanted to take our two teenagers (16 & 12 yrs old) to the Atlantis Hotel and visit their water park and beach facilities. Unfortunately, due to a serious medical problem one of the passenger was having the captain turned the ship around and headed back to port. Due to the delay we never arrived Nassau until 3:30 in the afternoon, by the time we got off the boat it was 4:00. That left one hr. to get to the Atlantis and enjoy the facilities. The children and I were extremely disappointed that we ended up not doing it. Plan on spending $125.00 per person when using the Atlantis facilities. We got as far as the lobby. Security was very heavy and we couldn't get past the outside balcony. The Atlantis would not allow us to walk to the beach through there facility so we had to walk around. Yes, down a dirt road with a fence on the perimeter with barb wire. Once we arrived to the beach we looked back at the road and couldn't believe we just did that. Thank god we didn't end up on 20/20 Missing Family issue. Not only that, Nassau stores were all closed, this information was never given to us. Once back on the ship we were excited to go to the Captain dinner at 8pm that night. The food was OK, nothing special at all. This was the night that everyone was suppose to get dressed up. I guess it depends on what your idea of dressed up is. Lets just say their were a lot of Hawaiian shirts. Breakfast and lunch at the buffet was like a cattle call. The entertainment was really bad. None of the dancers were in sinc. Thank god for Bingo, we played that a lot. The teen camp was a joke, my oldest son walked in and walked out. My 12 year old did have some fun in the Jr. Teen camp, but there was very little going on. When they did have a kid event planned it was very lacks and not organization well. We have heard that on other ships that kids would get little trinkets when they one a game during the tournaments. My son played in the ping pong tournament with several kids competing and when he won it was like no big deal. The casino was closed a lot during the day, it was only open certain hrs, so my husband didn't really get to play much. The winds were so high that they closed the upper deck so we couldn't go on the water slides. Another disappointment for my kids. The pool - there is only one and it is very small. Tons of babies and kids under 7 filled the pool. My kids didn't want to go in, it was to much of a kiddie pool. We went to the "library" several times to play board games and they were all locked up. We complained but nothing was done. Our kids were very bored. On a positive note, our stateroom was always very clean and all though tight quarters, we were all very comfortable. The beds were great, we slept very good. My other positive comment would be the SPA was excellent. I got one of the best facials and messages I have ever gotten. If you are an active family and have teenagers I would not recommend this ship.

Cabin Review

Rooms were crouded and the tv was small. Good closet space and bathroom worked fine. The plug in the bathroom didn't fit american dryer plugs.
