It's too bad that this cruise didn't happen a week earlier when the weather in Jamaica was heavenly, but all in all, I had a great time on board the Destiny. I'd read a number of reviews which painted the Destiny in a bad light and I was a bit apprehensive about the cruise I was about to take. However, once on board and into the trip, I must say I liked what the Destiny had to offer.

The ship was clean and efficient. The food was excellent and for the most part the people were fantastic... and that would be the people who were not travelling with bratty children running wild all over the place. You could tell that most of these lame-brained parents have never taken their children anywhere or taught them home training.

What about "Adults Only" over the aft pool and jacuzzi don't these people understand? The sign didn't say "children with adult supervision allowed"--it said "ADULTS ONLY". Don't act brand new and don't let your overblown sense of entitlement tell you that you and your kids don't have to follow rules. I don't want to be in a body of water where some one's not-toilet trained kids have pissed in it all day long. Not only that, but what was up with allowing children to run the halls unsupervised, screaming and banging on the walls til midnight? The stateroom next to mine had 4 unsupervised kids under the age of 12 who tried for 5 days to get into my stateroom via the door between the suites.

Cabin Review

Walls are way too thin--need soundproofing and structurally strengthened so as to not shake violently when some drunk person or ill-mannered child slams the stateroom door.

Families with children under the age of 14 should only be housed on the lowest deck.

Empress deck needs soundproofing against the 4 am deck chair dance above them on Lido deck.
