My partner, myself and a friend sailed on the Legend in December. I find early December is a good time, since most kids are still in school and the rates can be better. honestly, we like kids but not crazy about going on vacation with hundreds of them. We splurged and booked Aft Vista Suites and were in 8273 and 7347. Other friends on board were also in a Suite, cabin 7298 (his review is posted on cruise critic also).

We chose the ship because of its smaller size and it carries around 2000 people as apposed to over 3000. Honestly, how many people do you want to surround yourself while on vacation?! We arrived at the Tampa cruise terminal pretty early, around 11:30. Since we were VIP boarding priority, we were quickly directed to a side area with comfy chairs and friendly staff. It was the best experience of any VIP check-in we've had regardless of cruise line. When completed, we were personally led onto the ship. A very nice touch.

The Legend is beautiful. I love the colors, but earlier reviews are correct about the over use of "urns" everywhere. Only because they seems cheesy and plastic. One thing many people don't mention is the amount of original art on board. We were amazed at the hand blown glass, abstract hand painted works depicting legendary myths. It was truly enjoyable to visit each staircase and see different artist's interpretations. I would recommend exploring these.
