On reading the Thomson in flight magazine on the way back from a 14 night cruise on the Island Escape I came across an article on how Thomson was responding to customer criticism. The first bullet point described how 400 of their worst hotel destinations had been removed from their brochures. I think they should seriously consider adding the Island Escape to this list.

Here are my criticisms of the cruise I have just experienced.

1. Cabins - they creak and make loads of noise when you are trying to get some kip - so take some earplugs. We found cotton wool pads wedged into the right parts of the cabin furniture can help reduce (but not kill) the rattling sounds.
