Our flights were cancelled due to the blizzard so we left after work and drove all night and day to Miami to catch the ship. Too tired and worn out to do much beyond eat dinner and collapse into bed the first night.
Stateroom was clean, comfortable, and spacious. Once we got to sea, the balcony was like an extension of the cabin. It was so private, you could change out of your bathing suit out there. We are average-sized people so the three of us fit comfortably in our cabin.
The food on this cruise ship was good--not spectacular but good. I liked the dining room food a little better than the buffet. I found Emile's Grill, the buffet, to be poorly designed in terms of flow and space. There were long lines at all times. Breakfast was about the same every day with little variation--I finally just ate Raisin Bran for breakfast rather than wait for average food. I don't enjoy watching morbidly obese people devour several plates of heaping food, which is common on all cruise ships. By day three we avoided the buffet, just getting slices of pizza or a burger. The best discovery, which did not happen until day three of the cruise, was the fish and chips station upstairs in Emile's. Because it is directly accessible only by stairs, the crowds tended to miss it. They had fried oysters, fried cod, and fried calamari/shrimp balls. These were excellent. There was also a sushi bar open in the evenings that was very nice.
Loved the balcony, very private. Ample closet space. Hallway noisy from so many kids on the cruise. Comfortable beds and duvet covers. Excellent housekeeping service.
