This was our first cruise and we are hooked! The ship was fantastic for our family:
1) ARRIVED THE NIGHT BEFORE: Arrived the night before the cruise. Stayed at the COMFORT INN and found the beds comfortable and the breakfast buffet well stocked.
2) TRANSPORTATION TO THE CRUISEPORT: The airport, hotel and cruiseport are all close so transportation was easy. We took the hotel shuttle to the cruiseport. ($10 each) The cost of this is different depending on the hotel. Some people took taxis instead. (we heard $25ish for the taxi)
The cabin was great for us. We had the beds separated so there was a walkway between, making it easy to access the window for the view and easy for us to get in and out of bed. The kids had the upper "bunks". The attendant was excellent and even gave us additional foam toppers to add to the comfort. Fun towel animals arrived daily with our cruise compass so we could make plans for the next day. Being on one end meant we did a bit of walking to the dining rooms but this was good for us. Others have suggested that getting a room in the center of the boat rather than the front is preferred. We had no problem with motion although it was our first trip so don't have a point of comparison. The curtains were key. The curtain between the sleeping space and the "living room" space allowed my husband and I to get ready for the day while the kids continued to sleep.
