Let me start by saying ANY cruise is an okay cruise! Embarkation was fine, they gave VIP for active duty military which was great traveling with our 16,15 and 3 yr old. The rest of group of 14 boarded much later having to wait in lines!

The weather was horrible which obviously can't be controlled. It was 50 when we left Jacksonville. It was cold, windy and rainy all but the day in Nassau.(no rain but still 70 degrees and windy.) We missed the port in Freeport due to safety concerns docking with the bad weather. They gave us a $20 credit pp. Spent the day bored searching for things to do. They could have scheduled indoor activities but wasn't anything to do other than casino and drinking. They even had the games in the libray locked up much of the day!

My major gripe was with our dining room service and food. This was our 3rd cruise and have come to expect a certain level of service. Our waiter tried to talk the men out of ordering 2 main dishes several times. He did not address us by name. No highchair waiting for us each night. Could not get a glass of milk, tea or lemonade for over an hour if you were lucky to get any at all. Refills were only given on water. Our main entre always took over an hour to get. Other cruises they would at least get the 3 yr olds first. He was getting very restless. Had to ask for the children's menu withthe crayons each night. Each meal we did not get something we asked for. The waiter always was over at another table larger without kids. Maybe they tipped him the first night? We ordered way before other tables but were always served last. Our other part of our group was across from us with a different waiter and had no problems. They would order drinks and give them to us. Also they shared their extra butter, ketchup etc...things we couldn't get from our waiter. The food was worse than when we cruised in Feb 09. The steak now has a peppercorn sauce on it that is horrible. The chicken has no taste. The fruit plate has 1 tiny slice of a strawberry. Most food was bland and smaller than in Feb. The desserts were not good. The chocolate melting cake was liquified! The cheesecake and other cakes had no taste. I am not picky but they were so different from Feb! The breakfast was fair at the buffet. Eat in the dining room for fresh breakfast. The lines were very long for the buffet. The pizza and soft serve ice cream was our saving grace. We bought the soda card. It is so difficult to obtain any soda. You have to find a bar first, then it takes forever to get a soda. If they know you only want a soda you wait behind all the people ordering alcohol.
